We haven't done this project for a while, and our nature table was a bit lacking, so little spring people (fairies? root children?) it was.
Out came the wooden people, the acrylic paints, some acorn caps and some wool roving. On came the music - the Duhks, at Eliza's request - and we were off.
The girls draw so much that we can go for quite a while without a more guided art project. I forget to get out the paints or clay. This was just right for today.
Needle felting some hats...

I called them "spring beauties", like the flowers, but Ani thought "spring cuties" was more fitting. I think she's right...
Love them! (especially the one with the funky brown hat and crooked nose)
ReplyDeleteso beautiful!!! really fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful!!!! I love their little faces!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find the wooden people? I haven't seen them in my craft store.
hi sparklee! i got the wooden people from Hobby Lobby, and i think i've seen them online as well at Casey's Wood Products (careful - so many very cute wooden things...).
ReplyDeleteThey're sooooo cute. We haven't tempted any, yet, but now that I know they're at Hobby Lobby, I'll put them on the list! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bangs and blue hat and brown hair, too!
(Could be because it vaguely resembles mine.)
Dude, this is one of the things I've been MEANING to do for so long!! Thanks for the reminder. Super cute spring cuties!
ReplyDeleteCute! making these with the kids is a great idea. I'll have to see what my kiddos come up with.
