Hopscotch

It ain't summer without hopscotch.  We created a long version of the game today, per Eliza's request - up to 20, with some hopping in circles required somewhere around 13 or 14...it was fun.   But the girls and Jessica came up with a new version, which we played again today.  It is part dance, part yoga, part creative expression...
Everyone takes a piece of chalk and begins to draw...
Each shape has a picture in it, which suggests a movement for the player...wiggly lines,
 wavy water...
a barefoot dance...
tree pose...
some jumping jacks, warrior pose, and a namaste...
It's different every time and is fun to draw and play...

Great idea. As a former yoga teacher, I love the incorporation of yoga. Very clever. -Debbie
