We're having a transition week here...not summer anymore, not quite the school year; none of our classes in the community have begun and we're all a bit, well, jangly. Prickly. Out of sorts. I know this will pass, the weather will break, and we'll hit our stride, but in the meantime I hold on to those moments that work. We spent a lovely day with friends on Sunday - Dan played and won an Appalachian golf tournament, this time without the poison ivy. We girls went to the Moonville trail, an old railroad bed turned hiking trail that takes you through the haunted Moonville tunnel and ends at one point at the creek...
The water felt gooooood....
Marching band season is here and in the evening we can hear them practicing, so we sometimes will walk towards the river to see if we can get a bit of the show...
And then there are just the moments here at home where tempers subside, creativity flows and there is a brief hum among us...
We'll figure it out and get into our groove, but in the meantime I am taking notice of these moments.
