Dan's been making snowflakes again...

Eliza is trying some new things when she sits down to draw. She's loving experimenting with straight lines and color (as you can probably see....).

This one just jumped out at me. I would love to see this character in a book; she looks so carefree. Unusual for her to use this much color - a fun change.

Ani is knocking my socks off these days. It reminds me of when Eliza's drawing just took off. I have no perspective of when this type of drawing happens (for Eliza it started at 2 1/2, which I know is unusual), but I think within the last month Ani has started incorporating much more detail and movement into her drawings. I love when she tries something that Eliza is doing, but it of course really gets on E's nerves...

Does that snowman have teeth?
She loves this drawing as much as I do - she says they're ladies from China, chanting over the baby, who is wearing an enormous crown. I am digging his hairstyle. And the shoes...

Eliza, I love your basket-weave design! Are you using a ruler to keep those lines so straight? And Ani, I, too, love the ladies from China and the fact that they are singing for the baby. Kinda like humming llamas, huh?!! Keep on drawing!

It's wonderful to see the engagement coming through in the girls' drawings; you can tell how much effort they put into it. Very cool.
