painting a little summer

Morfar and Gramma Liz (my dad and his wife) are visiting us right now , and we decided to make them a present that couldn't be mailed through the US post, but could feasibly ride in the back of their car.  They have a beautiful, growing garden at their home and we thought they could use a set of their own garden sticks for staking tomatoes and such...remember these that we painted last summer?

Down goes the newspaper on the studio floor (looks like the kitchen to me...). Out come the paints.

A sweet reminder of days to come...
