sweet welcome home

I'm home from a rejuvenating, refreshing, refilling weekend away - home to happy girls, content (if tired!) husband, and more beautiful October to share. I'll write about the conference once I've had a chance to think on it a bit more, but for today...I am beyond grateful to have returned to peace and yes, love and giggles and Go.
Wanna go for a walk to the garden? Yes! Shall we take a lunch? Yes! and we'll make it!!! Eliza and I shared a yummy salad she made, and Ani had a sandwich...Can we take kites? Yes!
Was it a perfect day for such an adventure? YES!!
A day of light and love. Pure joy.
And some sweetness! We split a date cake three ways at the bakery on the river, while watching an osprey through the window, dive and fish, soar, hover, dive and fish....over and over. Wow.
Home along the river, through the garden again to gather our one radish, our two peppers and the kites...
It feels like such a gift when the girls are kind and loving and caring of one another. They are both such wells of emotion and love for so many people, but being sisters challenges them sometimes.  I put everything aside on a day like today, and just bask...

Sounds perfect. I only have one child and yet I still appreciate those days when he is loving and kind to ME. Not always the case. Oh...and that last picture brought tears to my eyes. The love between sisters is one I've never known. I bet it's incredible. xoxox
