Gallery

It's been a while since our last showing here...but I've got some worthwhile goods to parade!! This delicious piece (see the cake?) was completed in the car on the way home from Chicago. I adore it. It is going up in my kitchen (and no, I do not wear my hair in a bun on top of my head, but I would love me a polka dotty dress like this one!)

Ani is specializing in big-headed ladies these days. Big heads, big eyes, big noses, lots and lots of hair...

nice shoes.
And sometimes they are big and elfin. Note the ears...

Eliza decorates everything she touches, so here she is using some of her fanciest stationery for a note.

She also loves drawing the ladies - I think she is inspired by the beautiful teenagers in our life.

Her name is Aeiouy.
the angles and perspective in this one are so interesting!
During one of last month's sick days, Eliza hunkered down on the living room floor to create.  There was some sewing - a pillow case shirt, and an apron out of a sheet - and a slew of drawings...

This drawing emerged the other night during bedtime reading...she shared it with me, saying, "I did it all with lines!" Wow.

We've been trying to finish up some projects this week that have been lingering...one of the rugs came off of the hula hoop...

 Eliza did some knitting...

Ani's working on some felt blocks for a new arrival in our lives...

...and there were some painting projects in the art room.

That "line" woman is fantastic! I'd say it's Eliza who is the "STAR"!

As I come back daily to look at these new drawings, it's interesting to see how Ani is drawing women the way Eliza drew them only a year or two ago. Is she studying E's pictures? Or are these just her own perceptions? Side by side, it would be difficult to identify the artist!
