Garden Art

Earlier this summer we had a great time painting sticks to put in our garden.  While we are visiting my dad in Sheboygan this week, he has readied another garden art project for the girls: painting his new rain barrel.
He had already painted it a respectable dark green, but thought it would make a nice souvenir of having his grand-daughters here to have their artwork embellishing its sides.  I painted a couple of spots with white "patio paint" - an exterior latex - and the girls went to work with acrylic paints...
Tada! The finished product and the happy rain barrel owner...

hey, beautiful rain barrel, and Grampa looks happy and proud! I'm getting out the paint before Esme wakes up! we'll finally paint some sticks for our yard!! Yours are still beautiful! I noticed them holding up your tomato plants ! Nice home made tomato cage!! Much love!!

Those are the best looking rain barrels I've seen! We'll have to decorate ours when we finally get around to setting one up.
