handmade

There was so much handmade goodness for the holidays this year; I thought I would share!
My sister made this hat, ahem, for me, while she was here.
She had made this cowl for me for Christmas...
My mom made these beautiful owl sweaters for each of the girls; they wore them all week. It's so nice to see them get worn!  Eliza is also modeling my project of the season...after relearning how to knit I found a pattern for these handwarmers. I'm still catching up on gifts, but hope to make some for myself one of these days...
The girls and I painted a triptych for my brother-in-law - they chose his motorcycle, so I put in my two cents for fun.

Dan was totally inspired by Annie's post about the kit of disguises she made for an auction, so he crafted some super spyware for the girls' stockings...
Ani says hers turn her into a shape-shifter...one side is for reptiles and amphibians and the other is for mammals and birds.  Her favorite? The starnose mole. She apparently can turn into an insect at any moment...

More warmers!

We received these beautiful beaded ornaments from the boy cousins...I love these so much!
My favorite gift given might have been the apron Eliza made for her sister.  She and Dan crafted it out of a thrifted pillow case; it's reversible, and they used the nicely finished hem of the pillowcase to make the tie. She blanket stitched all around the panel and sewed it onto the belt. It's so cute...

And here is a final shot - the only one wherein you can see five pairs of "EJ's pj's" in action (and mine are keeping me warm as I write), created by my amazing brother in law.
