summer's end

We've been home for two weeks, driving from roadsides lined with chicory and queen anne's lace home to fields of goldenrod and ironweed, and summer has been aswirl with friend time, birthdays, evening paddles and canning! Have a look-see...









(A quick explanation:  the beautiful young woman above was at my impromptu birthday party last year, when I was subject to a circle of appreciation - I like spending time with you, I like how you are crafty and fun...- and asked her mama for a round of stories and blessings for herself on this important thirteenth birthday! It was so moving and funny and sweet, and she withstood the outpouring of love and admiration with grace and poise, which is all her...)













All summer....And this weekend is the annual Silver Baby Cup Golf Championship. Hoo wheee, there will be stories...
