Cousin Camp

Somewhere in the middle of our Wisconsin adventure, we landed at Dan's brother's house.  It is a mad couple of days of connecting hard and fast, and it is like fireworks watching the kids GO!  But this year Ada was in the mix as well, sweet little punkin...

(Oh wait - did I forget to mention that the girls dyed their hair?  Yes, my sister took her auntie privileges to their most magical limit and bibbity-bobbity-boo'd their hair a mystical purpley-red...they were in heaven, but it was a bit shocking to some of the family who hadn't seen them for a year.)

It is a tradition that we camp out in the backyard, only this time the traditional reading of the appalachian folk stories of Molly Whoopie was done by all the kids who wanted to read. I especially loved that part, all the voices, and the confidence of those readers taking advantage of the last light of the day.

More stories at breakfast, and back to dancing for Ada.  She was working really hard at jumping.

We love these silly, smart, playful, creative cousins SO MUCH!  We wish it were more than once a year, but we try to make up for it when we get the chance.
