It is just starting to feel like autumn here. As soon as the intense sweatiness of the Silver Baby Cup weekend passed, we woke up to chilly mornings and days that didn't get too hot by the late afternoon sun. Leaves are starting to turn, and the farmer's market is bountiful and gorgeous! Ani and I came home today with plums, apples, delicata squash, tomatoes, hot peppers, shiny eggplant, bread made with blueberries and bacon...a palette of foods that makes me swoon with happiness.

More postcards from our trip to Wisconsin...Devil's Lake, or Spirit Lake, one of our favorite places to be...We hiked the western bluff before spending the rest of the day swimming, digging clay to make creatures, and of course eating ice cream.
